His most valuable asset is believed to be a huge palace allegedly built for the Kremlin leader, which is said to be worth £800 million, has 67 hectares and even its own village for Putin's staff.
Putin is also never shy about displaying his wealth, and is often spotted on his very own superyacht, the Olympia, a gift from a member of Russia oligarchy and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, the £25 million boat stands at a whopping 57 metres.
He said: "After 14 years in power of Russia, and the amount of money that the country has made, and the amount of money that hasn't been spent on schools and roads and hospitals and so on.
"All that money is in property, Swiss bank accounts, shares, hedge funds, managed for Putin and his cronies."
Putin's display of wealth have drawn widespread criticism, which people have claimed go far beyond his official salary of around £80,000.
But Mr Browder shockingly claimed Putin owns more than 20 palaces and 58 planes and helicopters.
Putin has long denied accusations that he is rich, often playing up his humbler beginnings in St Petersburg.
He said: "They have picked this in their noses and have smeared this across their pieces of paper."
